Question:
what can be causing side pain?
I'm 10 months post op, down 101 lbs. Anyway, the last two or three days, my side has been hurting... like someone is squeezing me inside on my side. Does anyone know what could be causing this. I feel fine otherwise. But today, it is MUCH worse than before. Could I have a leak and not know it. OPEN RNY ... not transected. — Kay W. (posted on January 16, 2003)

Bless your heart...I'am not sure about this one. However...When you take
off your bra...does it stop? I had similar pain location between 4-6
months. The Dr. explained to me where the nerve is around the ole stomach
was healing and inflamed. As soon as I went to no bra or sports bra....
Not underwire or binding it went away.
But it was a while....Girlfriend also experienced same and she tried it and
worked for her. Good luck.

Kay,
I'm having the same pain, how-ever it's not the bra, it's so loose that if
I raise my hands my boobs could fall out of the cup, how-ever my
gall-bladder is still here with me, My pain is a sutble pain that
increases and decreases at times, sort of feels like I've ran too hard or
laughed to hard... I have a doctor's appointment to day ..
With your gall bladder out let me know what you find out....
Email me when you find out.
Post op almost 8 months down 110 pounds

I have terrible pain in my right side (like an extreme backache). I've had
tests and no one knows what it is. It starts during the time I'm asleep and
I almost can't roll over as my back feels as if it is busted (right side).
It hurts for 12 hours and quits about evening before bed... then starts all
over again. It may do this everyday for months... then quit for awhile and
start up later. They are guessing a kidney stone but no one knows. By the
way, I had my gallbladder out last March.

Just a thought... are you constipated? Sometimes, things will
"backup" and my side/back kills me. It feels like I've pulled a
muscle really badly and seems to ease up after I've cleared up the
"backup".
