Question:
Has anyones nerves been so bad before surgery that they can't eat???

I went for my pre-op appt. today and I had lost five lbs. I haven't been able to eat in about two weeks. I am supposed to be enjoying food for the last time and my nerves wont let me!!!!!! I thought at first I had a stomach virus but I know it is just nerves!!!!!!!    — Christine S. (posted on December 11, 2002)

HI~ I had my pre-op check up with my PCP yesterday (surgery Monday) and I had lost 6 pounds. I'm just not hungry and I have been eating crap when I do eat - pizza, pizza, more pizza, fast food (Taco Bell, McD's), candy - yet I've managed to lose weight - go figure??

?Christine, I'm going through the same thing. My surgery is next Wednesday. Things I've always loved, I just have no taste for. Nothing tastes REALLY good. Must be something psychological---maybe we're trying to prepare ourselves for our new life
