Question:
Anyone had varicose veins removed and a thigh
By having open RNY next week I'm counting on a hernia later to cover the tummy tuck but still working on ideas for the INS to cover the the excess skin removal on my thighs when I have my varicose veins removed after weight loss. Can these be done togther and has anyone gotten their INS to cover these two togehter? — jocelyn (posted on November 27, 2002)

I had a friend who lost about 75 lb without WLS who had tummy tuck with
gallbladder removal, and then thighs done with varicose veins. Both
surgeries her insurance covered anestesia, meds and hospital stay, but she
had to put the money out for the actual plastic surgery part. She said the
TT was fine, but the thigh/butt was very painful and she probably wouldn't
do it again after knowing the pain involved. It may have been due to the
varisose vein removal. I really haven't heard from others about how painful
a thigh job was.
