Question:
Anthem covering lap-band?

I have a friend in Columbus who is seeking Lap-band surgery. She has Anthem insurance. Anthem will pay surgeon fee but not hospitalization, anesthesia, etc etc at OSU in Columbus (hospital doesn't "take" anthem i guess). Anyone know of surgery completely covered (except copay of course?) for lap-band? She is willing to travel for surgery. Thanks!    — dibie1221 (posted on November 13, 2002)

Come ask this question at the spotlighthealth.com message board called "LapBand Support" .. they may not have the actual answer, but I'm sure they can give advice on where to go for her surgery.
