Question:
What do I say when people ask me when I am having my baby?
I am 13 months post op and -125 and almost every day at least one person asks me when I am having my baby. I have 4 beautiful boys and would love another child especally a girl, but I had my tubes tied after my last son. When I was obese and pregnant alls I wanted was for people to reconise I was pregnant and ask about the baby. Now I regrete having the tubal and would love to have a child, so when people ask I get really depressed. It bothers me so much!!!!!! What do I say to people? The first couple of times I did't say anthing and just let them go on thinking I was having a baby. Then, I said "No I've just lost 125 lbs". Now I feel like saying "No I am just fat!!!" What do I say, but most of all how do I deal with the emotional side. I have looked into getting a tt but it will be at least a year or more till I can. My favorite answer is "not any time soon, unless you have seen a new
star in the sky". PLease remember that even if you know the person
asking, it is NEVER polite to ask someone if they are pregnant, or when
they are due. Neither of those questions are appropriate, and Mrs. Manners
will get them for it!!! So if you are irritated by the questions, it is ok
to feel that way. They are wrong, not you.

When they ask, tell them that you can't have kids because you are really
105 years old and that you happened to find the fountain of youth. Then ask
them if they would like directions to it. If you want a baby, you can
always adopt. There are so many children who need loving homes. A friend of
the family just abopted a baby girl from China. She's too cute. There are
so many unwanted baby girls from China, as well as right here in the U.S..
Adoption isn't for everyone, but it is an option. Good Luck to you.

Here's the best comeback I've ever come up with. I looked down at my
stomach and said "a baby!! Oh thank God, I just thought I was
fat." That shut them right up!
