Question:
Does AFLAC insurance pay out for this procedure or is it pre-existing?
Through my employer, I had purchased different policies such as hospital confinement, disability, etc. back in spring. I had originally sought out this procedure 2 years ago. Has anyone's policy paid out on this say for at least the hospital stay?? I've been mo for a few years-not clear on their pre-existing policy. Any info greatly appreciated! — Lee A. Hi. I don't know about the hospital confinement but I had short term
disability and they paid for my 6 weeks off. It was a great help b/c state
disability was so meager. Good luck!

My understanding of the AFLAC Hospital Plan is that it would pay benefits
for each day that you were confined. I beleive that there is also a
pre-existing clause in the policy. I think that your best bet would be to
contact AFLAC directly or perhaps your company has the Summary Plan
Description available for you to review.

Also, since you live in CA, you are entitled to state sponsored disability.
I was out for 3 weeks and did collect benefits from the state during that
time. Remember to get the paperwork from your employer!
