Question:
Will my body shape change ?
I am 33 y.o., 5'4", 248# female. I am considering surgery and am a little freaked out...I've got a zillion questions, but to start: will my shape change? I like my shape; I've got an hourglass figure, its just a big ol' hourglass. Are there any busty women (I'm currently a 42DDD) who had the surgery -- and did they find their shape changing? — Tamara K. (posted on July 28, 2002)

Hi, I am only 6 weeks post op and have lost 34 lbs. 3.5 inches of that has
been from my bust. That is the only noticible place that I have lost weight
so far. Of course I am very early out and that may change as I go along. I
could stand to loose some in my chest, but I would like to keep a little!

I have lost 125 pounds since my DS in October, 2001. My body shape has
changed considerably. My big ol' bust (50DDD)is now rather flat (42D) -
bummer. The good news is that my big ol' butt is no longer, either. It's
all part of the process, and each of us is different. My feeling is that
in the end, plastic surgery will fix those things I am not delighted with.
My pennies are being squirreled away as I type, just waiting for that day
next spring when I can tuck and supplement! Good luck to you.

Hi Tamara: My body shape changed drastically...I am 11 mos post op and
down #136.....from a 4X to a size 7...My bust measurements went from a 46D
to a 32B(a very saggy 32B)..I always had very broad and thick shoulders
anyway, but they look so narrow and thin now...That is really the first
thing that people comment on now, how "TINY" I am...and that is
only after they figure out who I am...People that I have not seen since
before my surgery have NO idea who I am other than the tone of my voice...I
have had so many "DROPPED JAWS"...I no longer have a butt...which
makes clothes hard to fit but I wish I had that problem a long time ago...I
have saggy butt jeans now....My body has changed so drastically I don't
even know how to buy clothes...My weight is pretty much plateaued now but
oddly enough, I am losing inches still...I have clothes that I bought a
month ago, that are getting big on me but the scale only changes a pound or
two either way...Wierd Huh????

No my body shape didn't change. I'm 5'6" and originally 268 and now
160. Although I am smaller, my chest and butt have shrunk my shape is the
same. I am still an hourglass just quite smaller. Some people lose alot
in their chest - my best friend went down to an A cup. However, I started
at a big C and am just a smaller C - just lost weight around my back but
not much of my actual breast. Hope that helps.

I too have an hour glass shape and big boobs, the shape is the same only it
looks MUCH better without all the fat on. I used to look like a linebacker.
I went from a size 28 to an 8-10 pants and a 3x to a med shirt. 48DDD to a
36DD

I'm 5'5 and also was (am) big busted. I went from #256 to #155 and still
have a large chest, but everything else has gotten smaller!! I did lose a
size or two in my bra size, and went from a 2x to a Medium but think it was
fat from elsewhere. I guess everyone is different, but I don't think you
should worry ~ it's all good!!

I started out the same weight as you and am also an hourglass shape. I was
big busted (40DD) too. I'm about 15 pounds from my goal weight and am
still an hourglass shape but with a LOT less sand!! I just did my
measurements and they were 38-29-39. My bra size is now a 38D. My shape
changed in that now I don't have a big bubblebutt anymore (I hated it!!)!!!

After losing 106 pounds I am finding that my shape did change......I now
have curves where there used to be rolls...LOL. But seriously,
unfortunately I never did have too much in the bust department and my
overall body shape hasnt changed too much, always wished I could put some
of my stomach up on my chest, oh well... Im sure you will be a beautiful
hourglass after it is all over. Best of luck to you!!

My shape only changed in that I got smaller! LOL I went from a bust size
of 54DD to a size of 40DD (so far). So the cup size didn't change ... just
the ribcage measurement. Hope the info. helps. If it's any consolation,
hubby loves the new body!!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe how helpful you all are. It (I know you
all know this) makes it so nice to come on here and talk to people who
understand, who won't judge, who are awesome. To all of you that responded
without pictures -- where the heck are your pictures???? I want to see
what my new heroines look like. You guys rock. Thanks.

My shape didn't change til *I* changed it. I was a very large apple, then I
became a much smaller apple. But I was still thick in the middle. VERY
thick. I was 48C, became 36C. I did have those, um, "restored"
back to my CHEST (I didn't like them on my hips), still C. I had that
enormous tummy lopped off and that gave me a much more normal appearance.
I'll never BE an hour glass, but at least I appear normal. My pix are on
my web site at www.vitalady.com. One of the girls shown there had my EXACT
body pre-op (OK, add 9" of height) and after her TT, she also looks
fabulous). Lucky you, if you are an hourglass, you will BE an hourglass,
most likley.
