Question:
Cigna HMO/POS??

I was wondering has anyone had Cigna HMO/POS approve plastic surgery here in North Carolina? I have this insurance and am thinking about having plastic surgery. I am at 230 pounds and have lost 119 pounds. Any information would be nice. Thanks    — OceanWave_21 B. (posted on June 2, 2002)

I did not have it in North Carolina, but I did have it in Georgia with Cigna HMO. They denied me at first, but when I presented some documentation, they approved it. The whole process took about 7 months though.
