Question:
Anyone start out as a slow loser and then pick up speed?
Just curious if anyone out there started out losing pretty slow and then all of a sudden started to see a greater amount drop off? If so, WHEN??? I'm 7 weeks, started a 314 now down to about 273 (not exactly sure haven't weighed in over a week). I'm not really disatisfied with this over all as know eventually it will come, but I eat and drink by the book, am now up to walking four miles everyday. Is my body *always* going to be this resistant to letting go? — PaulaM (posted on April 5, 2002)

Hello. I had my surgery 8/27/01. The first week I lost a measley 9 pounds.
I was so disappointed. It's been 7 months and I've now lost 115 pounds.
Does this help answer your question?

I think you are doing great hon, I am among the very slow losers.. i am
15.5 weeks out and down 55 pnds since surgery date.. i was very concerned
as well but my doctor said not to worry that every one is different and
that i have a thyroid problem which is to explain the slow loss and as long
as we keep losing and we are not gaining then we are doing good....good
luck to you

Many of us are slow and steady. I had my surgery on 10-30-2001. I am down
78 pounds. At first I would read some results here and think I was really
slow. But, in my support group, I am doing better than many others. There
are thousands of members on this site. The fast losers are the ones who
post about it. You are doing just fine.
