Anyone start out as a slow loser and then pick up speed?

Just curious if anyone out there started out losing pretty slow and then all of a sudden started to see a greater amount drop off? If so, WHEN??? I'm 7 weeks, started a 314 now down to about 273 (not exactly sure haven't weighed in over a week). I'm not really disatisfied with this over all as know eventually it will come, but I eat and drink by the book, am now up to walking four miles everyday. Is my body *always* going to be this resistant to letting go?
