Question:
Should I call my Dr. or is this heartburn?

I'm a glutton for punishment, I knew it would give me heartburn but I ate some hot sauce on my dinner last night. I woke up this morning because my back hurt so bad I couldn't lay still. I feel like someone punched me between the shoulder blades or my back needs to be cracked. It's unbearable. On top of that, I've vomited 3 times this morning. I know nothing is stuck because Zantac and Ibuprofen is staying down along with water. Is this just severe heartburn or should I call my doctor??    — Amy E. (posted on February 11, 2002)

Do you still have your gall bladder? Severe back pain is one of the signs of a gall bladder attack. I think you should call your doc anyway hes the one that could tell you the answer. Good luck I hope you feel better soon! Vicki

Also a sign of gall bladder problem is throwing up...especially if you eat fat. UGH, I thought I was going to die and had no Idea why I was so sick. It was not fun! This was 3 years before I had WLS surgery. Good luck!
