Question:
I'd like to here from post-ops 1month out or more about Blintzs
I'd like your thoughts on this from those 1 month out or more. Since I can have mash potatoes, I was wondering, I stopped in the market and purchased Potato Blnitzes by Golden. Here's the nutriental info: Cal: 90 (1 blintz) Total Fat : 4g Total Carb: 15g Dietary Fiber: 2g Protein: 3g Ingredients: Crepe: water, enriched wheat flour, corn starch, whole eggs, egg whites, canola oil, salt. Filling: Water, dehydrated potatoes, sodium acid, canola, dry onions, salt, decorticated pepper. I did my research and checked every name brand of mash potatoes which all have 18g of carbs and more calories. I would like to use these "now and then" with my tuna, salmon and sardines to mix it up instead of always eating them with my cottage cheese. I figured used occasionally as a starch to accompany my proteins, I think it would be okay. Has any one of you ever had potato blintz? I will let you all know how they go down. I know starches especially potatoes sometimes dont always mix well in our tummies, but it is allowed and most wls people I know havent had a problem with potatoes. What are your thoughts? — Gwen M. Hi. I am 3 weeks post op and still on pureed foods. But what my doctor
always told me and what I have read is the I should stay away from anything
that high in fiber. I don't know what you surgeon told you about fiber but
that is what I was told. I suggest you call a professional on this and see
what they say. The last thing we want to happen is for something to go
wrong. Good luck honey and keep me posted. Let me know what others say
about high fiber foods.

erica thanks for ur answer. when i consulted with dr fobi i had asked him
about fresh fruit, my snack of choice cause i love it! he said...in the
beginning ABSOLUTELY NOT! too much fiber for ur new tummy to handle. so i
assume that means ALL fibers. i will be asking my wls surgeon (not fobi) at
my pre-op next week about fiber.

Sorry, as a 1 mo. post op and constantly constipated, don't worry about
"TOO " much fiber. I may try them myself. I look for low fat and
low sugar so those sound good.
