Question:
Would like to know how much your PacifiCare out of pocket was?
I have Pacificare (California) HMO, and will have to go outside of my medical group to have the surgery. Will they pay 100 percent, or will I have to pay some? Ususally my copay is just $5.00. Will this be true for the surgery or will I owe a lot more? I just want to be financially ready, and not suprised. Would everyone who had Pacificare HMO please reply with what your out of pocket expense was??? Thanks — Andrea H. (posted on September 20, 2001)

I have Pacificare HMO, had surgery in February with Dr. LePort. There was
no charge. I did have to pay $100 out of pocket for psychological
evaluation. Good luck to you.

Hi , I have PacifiCare HMO Colorado, no out of pocket expense here, and I
don't even have to pay my copay at my surgeons office now that he's been
paid by them. But I have to say that each PacifiCare, per state is
different. I've spoken with members in different states that have had to
pay large copays, jump through hoops, etc... , I would call and see what
they say, Best wishes to you!, Carey
