Congrats on your amazing success, Susan! Wow, a book coming out & a TODAY Show appearance! I will definitely try to catch that. How did you go about getting the book published & how did you get the TV appearance to happen? Just curious how that all works. Great job! Also, is your website still under construction? It wasn't loading for me for some reason. BTW, I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 15 yrs before moving up to the Orlando area 4 yrs ago. Most of my family is still down there & I visit frequently. Take care...

So glad to hear that the tummy tuck is a great success. You so deserve it. Just letting you know that thanks to you I am still enjoying every personal encounter I have with other people. I actually have self-confidence & truly believe that I am attractive now. (to me anyway. LOL) Thank you so much for everything you've done & I wish you continued success with your web site. So jealous of your biker status. LOL Love to hear about it though. Must be exciting!

What a wonderful tool this is... Original Post by Joyce Z at 8:59 AM PST on 10/24/2003 Buffalo, NY - RNY (06/17/2003) I have to say that I could not be happier with this tool. I haven't felt this good in years. My surgery took place June 17, 2003 with Dr. O'Malley in Rochester, NY. I have lost 68 pounds and have this new energy. I seem to be doing better with each passing day, learning and adjusting and trying to take advantage of this great opportunity to be healthy again. I have stopped the grazing and only eat my meals and no snacking, getting in my protein shake (pro score 100) and vitamins. I started really exercising this week and feeling even better, having more energy. Gone are the days of naps after work because I was so tired from the walk from my office to the car (one city block). I have this new love of life and want to spend as much time as I can with friends and family instead of my old friend "the couch" oh yes and "the tv". What I do find myself doing now when the food doesn't taste so great, I stop eating it, I no longer devour food I don't like. I do have to remind myself that I don't have to eat everyting on my plate and shouldn't, I read where some people only 2 or 3 oz. and I should probably cute back on quantity even if it is only good food I am eating. The friends I have made from my local support group have been godsends, they have given so much support I cannot thank them enough (Sherry Wittlinger). I so appreciate all the help I have received from Susan Maria and Sharon Neva and so many others, for answering my questions and giving advice, I cannot thank you all enough, and thank you Momma Angel for doing what we all should be doing but like myself, don't . And to Eric, you alone are a godsend, change the layout of the site everyday and I wouldn't care, I am just so happy that this one exists. To all of those who work so hard to make this site what it is, thank you, because of everyone, I will succeed in this journey and life will just keep getting better. God Bless and thank you all. I have submitted my pic and it should show up soon.

Susan Maria, While you are out playing Biker Babe (post photos, please!), I am relaxing with my Sunday paper and eating an Odyssey Caramel Nut bar -- one of several goodies I recently bought from your website(www.bariatriceating.com). What a wonderful weekend treat! I'd probably feel guilty for eating something so good, if I hadn't checked and re-checked the wrapper, to confirm that the bar contains just 3 grams of sugar and a whopping 30 grams of protein. I can only manage 1/2 a bar, but that's definitely enough to bring my taste buds out of the doldrums. Thanks so much for helping make this a happy, healthy Sunday!

Susan Maria! Where have I been??? I hadn't visited www.BariatricEating.com! Today I did. I found so many great products. I orfered a bunch of samples to try after surgery so I can see where my taste buds are at. I also got the pre mixed shakes. I prefer those. THANK YOU!!! When is the book available??? Marcy

Great Idea Susan!!! I am scheduled for surgery on November 3rd so I will be missing Thanksgiving Dinner this year. I might have to give that recipe a try. Thanks for all your great posts.

Nice post, Suze....like the informative classy LADY you are. I wanted to say "you're not going to win any friends around here being so hostile and negative", but I held my tongue (and fingers) and said nothing, as this is my PMS week. Hugs, Joy

Suze, I don't post to surgery pages very often, but in this case, I want to make a permanent record of my thanks to you for posting your recipes and reminding us of how important it is to retain the joy of cooking and eating flavorful and healthy foods for the rest of our lives. This surgery will be of no benefit to anyone if we are reduced to living miserable deprived lives of plain chicken breasts or boiled fish. Your enthusiasm and ingenuity in bringing healthy and zestful foods to our tables is a tremendous boon to the WLS community, and I for one appreciate your efforts and applaud your achievement. Thanks!
