Hi everyone :)
Thank you, Lynnda, for thinking of me last week and thank you EVERYONE so much for your sweetest of feedback!!! The timing couldn't have been better and I felt so honored I remember first coming to OH and finding so so much inspiration and hope in people's profiles. When I had my surgery, I decided to keep as thorough and complete a profile as I could, hoping that I could help others as others had helped me. I am blessed that I have been able to do this.
Reiterating what Lynnda wrote in regards to choosing the next POTW: "this decision - as it has been for everyone else who has had the opportunity to make it - was a hard one. Everyone on this board is so deserving - everyone contributes in some way in making this place the warm, loving and informative communitity that it is." This couldn't be more the truth...
And like Lynnda, I am going to go with the first person that came to mind...
Please join me in welcoming Stacie O as this week's "Person of the Week"! Stacie is one of the first people I'd met in the OH WLS community back in Sept 2003 when I was still a "newbie" and only 4 months out from surgery. I still remember her wonderful suggestions on ways to mix Nectar Carribean Cooler with Pinapple-Orange Crystal Light, and will never forget trying to keep up with her and Pat Cowan during the first Walk From Obesity (which was fruitless back then LOL).
I sooooo admire Stacie's willingness to be open about her triumphs and tribulations as a longer term postop, and to offer all of us her wisdom about using the earlier out months and "window of opportunity" as a way to establish a new relationship with food as opposed to simply looking at this time as a period of fast weight loss. As someone who is further out, I can honestly say that when Stacie calls our attention to this, she is sharing the 100% truth....
Please join me in welcoming Stacie as our newest POTW!!! Her surgery support page can be found at:

Enjoy your week as the POTW!
I love you sweetie!!!!!!!
