GOD, Bless Jeremy and his family, for his is Your child and needs your blessings today and always! Amen. Jeremy, You have touched so many hearts with the profile and updates. You mentioned in your profile it is hard to make friends and instead of us reaching out to you, you reached out to us. I don't think you will have problems making friends now. Just look at all of us! I pray you will continue to get better and look forward to seeing a post from you.

Today we are making a little progress. They are finally going to feed him through the stomach tube today... after 2 weeks! His kidneys and liver are still not responding yet, so that is a major concern. He has been losing red blood cells, because he has a trache (sp?) in his throat and has been "leaking" around the area. He is a little bit awake... enough to know that I'm in the room with him. Hopefully they will do a culture to see if the infection is gone tomorrow. I hope so. I forgot to mention yesterday when I gave my first update that I had been terminated from my job at Toys R Us. I gave them a two-week notice of the surgery and that I needed two weeks off for everything. It was like pulling teeth to get it. Last Friday I called and told my boss that I'll need an addition 2-3 weeks off, due to complications that I'm not in control of. She said that I'm terminated, because I haven't worked there long enough to receive absentee time. She added that I can fill out a new application when I get back to town. The most important thing to me right now is Jeremy and his health. I guess I'll be job hunting again when we get home, but being after the holidays, I don't think there will be any available. Oh well. I keep praying and thanking God that my husband is alive. When he gives me a weak smile... I feel warm inside, knowing that he is strong-willed and loves me so much that he keeps holding on. Thank you all again for the great support. I'll keep you all updated (there is limited computer use here and a lot of competition to grab one). Keep praying :) ~Robbi

Jeremy, I didn't know about you until just today when I read a post on the DS forum. I quickly scanned through your story and all the updates and I see that you are fighting for your life. I pray right now and ask God to heal you. May His Holy Spirit even now envelope you and bring you life and healing. I also pray a hedge of protection around you--that the enemy who steals, kills and destroys will not have any power over you. Jesus said that He came to give you abundant life. So don't ever let anyone tell you that this attack on your life is God's will. It is not His will, my dear man. It is God's will that you live a long and prosperous life. Have faith and I am standing in agreement with you that He is able and more importantly, WILLING to bring you into a state of good health. God bless you and keep you safe from further harm. In the name of Jesus, I pray, believe, and receive the answer to this prayer. Amen.

Jeremy I just read on the DS forum that you are having a tough time. My heart goes to you and your family, and I'll be thinking of you. After I crawl into bed, before I sleep tonight, I'll pray for your recovery and for strength and encouragement for your family. Cynthia

Jeremy, Although I don't know you or have ever chatted with you I want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts. I don't follow the main message board but the Duodenal Switch board (I had the DS 11/03) and someone had written a post requesting prayers for you. Although there generally seems to be some "great debate" regarding the RNY and the DS, we are all taking or have taken the same journey battling with our weight. I applaud you for having the courage to take the WLS step.... it's a huge one!!! I pray that all goes well for you and am keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Be Well. Michelle Fetzer P.S. - When you're back on your feet, pop over to the DS board and let us know how you're doing!
