Today we are making a little progress. They are finally going to feed him through the stomach tube today... after 2 weeks! His kidneys and liver are still not responding yet, so that is a major concern. He has been losing red blood cells, because he has a trache (sp?) in his throat and has been "leaking" around the area. He is a little bit awake... enough to know that I'm in the room with him. Hopefully they will do a culture to see if the infection is gone tomorrow. I hope so. I forgot to mention yesterday when I gave my first update that I had been terminated from my job at Toys R Us. I gave them a two-week notice of the surgery and that I needed two weeks off for everything. It was like pulling teeth to get it. Last Friday I called and told my boss that I'll need an addition 2-3 weeks off, due to complications that I'm not in control of. She said that I'm terminated, because I haven't worked there long enough to receive absentee time. She added that I can fill out a new application when I get back to town. The most important thing to me right now is Jeremy and his health. I guess I'll be job hunting again when we get home, but being after the holidays, I don't think there will be any available. Oh well. I keep praying and thanking God that my husband is alive. When he gives me a weak smile... I feel warm inside, knowing that he is strong-willed and loves me so much that he keeps holding on. Thank you all again for the great support. I'll keep you all updated (there is limited computer use here and a lot of competition to grab one). Keep praying :)
