I just wanted to thank all of you so far who's answered the post at the top about sending cards to Jeremy. This will mean so much to him. He's at a point that he could really use a lot of love. He's been in the hospital now going on over 1 year. He's currently at a rehab facility trying to relearn how to walk again. This young man has been through so much and it's truly a miracle that he's still alive. I will tell you for someone who's been through so much his spirit is so encouraging. He can't wait to walk again, the plan is now that they are going to start getting him out of bed more. He doesn't have good feeling in his legs and they are in a good deal of pain still from not walking and he's also had some nerve damage. After a year he's still got an open wound, but it's much smaller. He's also going to be looking at having several surgeries in the future to reverse the colostomy that he has, possibly have to have knee replacements. Keep in mind that Jeremy at one point was over 800 pounds. He's only 21 years old. If you find time please drop Jeremy a card of encouragement, he needs all the continued support he can get. I've spoke with him this afternoon and he's talked about trying to get a new photo of him up on his profile, so be on the look out for that. He's now lost an AMAZING 410 pounds in 1 years time!!! He's still got a long ways to go to recover from this, but he stays positive that this surgery was his best option even with all the complications. Take a moment to send Jeremy a note :) He's also been getting some of the best motivation from speaking with Richard Simmons. He did an interview for his radio show recently.
