Hi Everyone: I'm 3 months post-op now and getting thinner by the day. I've lost 57 lbs so far. I feel great. I'm wearing clothes that I wore two years ago, before my last baby. It's nice to know that I'm almost out of the 200 lb range. My Dr. said that I should be glad I'm almost in the 100's and I'll never see 200 lbs again. What a thought!! I can eat a large variety now. Still avoiding meat, but chicken is good. I don't do well with Turkey yet. I've found that I can tolerate most sugar in small amounts. I try not to overdue it. Mexican bothers me if it's cooked in lard, gives me dumping syndrome. I'm enjoying my life much more now and looking forward to thinness. I'm not quite halfway yet but hopefully by Christmas. Best thing I ever could have done, having the surgery. Worth everything you have to go through.

Hi All: I'm now three weeks post-op and feeling great! It seems like months ago I was in the hospital and having the surgery. No limitations now, except lifting. It's hard not to pick up my 1 year old daughter, but trying hard to abide. I am eating all kinds of new foods. However, I haven't lost any weight for the past week. I lost 29 pounds by 2 weeks post-op but nothing for the last 7 days. It seems like once I started eating food versus the liquid diet I stopped losing. I hope this passes soon. I want to keep those pounds coming off!!

Thank you to everyone who sent me their prayers and best wishes. I'm home now and healing fast. No real pain except with the occassional quick movement or twist. I met several great new bariatric pals in the hospital. I do have one particular WLS pal who had surgery with me on the same day with the same surgeon. Her name is Elisa Roche and she is a great person. Look her up and give her kudos because she's truly an inspiration. She lifted my spirits on my third day post-op and everyday after. Thanks E.
