Well I went to the doctor today and I'm off all my blood pressure meds now and I got rid of another 15 pounds.  I'm over 1/3 of the way home.  Christeen is switching her anti-ulcer meds in hopes of healing her pain.  She is so depressed.  Pray for her please.

Well it's been kinda slow since Christeen's surgery but we're moving ahead.  Christeen has been slow to start her weight loss and is down 9 pounds now and I'm down 111.  We're both going to the Y for deep water aerobics and hopefully that will speed up the weight loss.  I've noticed that the Idaho board has been dead but I've nothing new to add really.  I feel like I did before surgery but with 100% more energy.  Hope everyone is doing ok.

Heather H. has a cartoon on her blog and it reminded me of a cartoon I had found some years back and saved.  I'll put it here so everyone can enjoy it.   Christeen had to go to the ER last night with bowel problems but it turned out not to be a problem at all, her bowels just hadn't woken up yet from surgery.  Other than that, she's doing good.

She did it!  Christeen had her RNY this morning and is doing well.  She's a little groggy still but would love to hear from everyone tomorrow if you'd like to call.  She's in room 6026 in St. Lukes and the number is (208)381-2222.

Well they say that the third times a charm so that's what I'm sticking too.  We have to be at the hospital by 6 AM and surgery at 7:30.  Keep your fingers and toes crossed because if she doesn't get it tomorrow, Christeen said she was going to take it as a sign that this wasn't meant to be and won't pursue another date.  Please keep us in your prayers.

Well, a funny thing happened on the way to the OR.  It's really not so funny but we have to laugh because if we didn't, I'd think we'd cry.  Christeen did NOT get her RNY today.  The patient before her had complications and the surgeon had to go into Christeen's OR time to fix it.  I pray he/she is doing well but this is the second round of blanks although Christeen seems OK with it.  Anyway, Monday is now set for her surgery and I hope it's not a strike out.

Tomorrow my wife, Christeen (LuckyLady18), is going in for her RNY.  She's nervous but excited at the same time. 

Christeen and I went and saw brwilkin (Amy) and her husband Brad in the hospital today.  She looks great for having her surgery this morning.  They are a really nice couple and we enjoyed our visit.  Then we dropped in on the support meeting and we were shown different exercises that can be done while sitting down.  It was fun and we got to see some staff at the hospital that I hadn't seen since my surgery. Well I'm bushed and headed to bed.  Good night.

Well Christeen (LuckyLady18) didn't get her surgery.  We were on standby until 12:00 PM when they let us know that it wasn't going to happen that day.  She still has the May 29th date and that's written in stone so she can't wait.  Dr. Korn felt so bad that he sent her a bouquet of flowers to cheer her up.  I'm going to the support group meeting tonight so I might meet some of you there.  Dr. Korn holds his tomorrow but most OH members in the area come to the one held tonight.

Part 2 - OK  I went I didn't see anyone but did enjoy the meeting.  I'll go to the support group tomorrow night too and visit brwilkin in the hospital.  Night all!

Sorry for the absence but my wife's brother passed away and we've been out of state for the last month.  Losing weight on the road is hard but I managed to do some.  I got my first 100 pounds goal met and looking forward to losing more.  I'm out in the yard doing things that were only a dream 4 months ago.  My wife, Christeen, is going on stand-by for her RNY tomorrow morning and if not then, she has a date set for 4-29-08.  She is nervous but really looking forward to having it done.  She's seeing what it's done for me and is jealous I think.  ; )
