Please Lord touch Melissa and make her well again. Hold her family in your loving arms and give them the peace that passes all understanding. I pray you will give the doctors all the wisdom they need. I hope Melissa can live to fulfill the dream to be a different thinner person! I pray she'll be able to enjoy that! Please Lord! Thank you! In your Son's name I pray. Amen.

I am just back from Birmingham where my mother and I have spent the day with Melissa and her family. I must say this is one of the worst days in my life. I have spent a lot of time today in CCU talking to Melissa because I know she can hear me. I prayed with her, held her hand, tickled her feet, rubbed her legs and arms and touched her face. I have put her favorite music next to her ear and have begged, pleaded and prayed for her to wake up and tell me this is all a bad dream. Her parents, sister and husband are all in need of our prayers. The shock of this whole experience is just now starting to sink in. I myself finally had a complete breakdown on the way home in the car. I don't understand this situation. This is not how it was suppose to be. Of course Melissa and I talked about being at peace before going into surgery just in case something happened, but it wasn't suppose to happen like this. I am going back to Birmingham in the morning to be with Melissa and her family. I am praying to God and all his angels to perform a miricale. Her mother told me when I dropped them off at the hotel that a miricale is our only hope. Please continue to pray and send Melissa your messages of hope. I will print everything off tonight and read them to her tomorrow. May God be with us all at this most difficult time. Melissa's Angel - Carol

Father, I come to you in the name of jesus, and I lift Melissa up to you Lord,I ask you father to spare this precious life and help her to regain full recovery!!Father, touch her and heal her body from the top of her head to the soles of her feet.Encourage her family and loved ones to lean on you and to trust you.I bind every outside force that would try to come against her,and I ask you,Holy Spirit,to place a shield around her and to protect her,I ask this all in the name of Jesus,Amen

Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that Melissa had a pulmonary embolism. The fear is that her brain was deprived of adequate oxygen for a long period of time. Things do not look good for Melissa. She is having an EEG tomorrow which will tell weather she has any brain activity. Tomorrow at 5 pm her family will decide what to do. Please pray for Melissa, Steven <her husband> and Melissa's parents and sister.
