I am so sorry. Other than to send my sympathies to Melissa's family, I have no words to describe my feelings about this terrible tragedy. I am so sorry this happened.

To Melissa's family & her Angel Carol, Before my father died from cancer, hospice gave me a book with this beautiful poem in it. Knowing the inevitable was going to happen, it truly helped ease my heartache. I share it with you & hope it will bring you some comfort at this unbelievably difficult time. I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, "There, she is gone!" "Gone where?" Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There, she is gone!", there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "Here she comes!" --Henry Van Dyke God be with you.

I am so sorry to have to inform everyone but Melissa's EEG showed no brain activity. Melissa's family is talking of having 1 more EEG before donating her organs. Carol printed out Melissa's surgery page and read to her all the words of love and concern you expressed. Melissa is in no more pain...she has Wings and is flying. May God be with her family in their time of need

Dear Melissa and Family, I pray this for you all. Heavenly Father, you know Melissa and you know her needs right now. I ask you Lord to keep your healing hands upon her and place a hedge of protection all around her to keep out the enemy of our souls. In Your word you tell us that "By His stripes we are healed" and I thank you Jesus for taking those beatings which put stripes on your back, just for me and for Melissa and all who believe. Father God, send your angels right now to hover over Melissa's hospital bed and stand around her room to bring peace and comfort as well as protection to our sweet sister. I pray that she will be raised up so that you may receive all the glory of her healing. Please be with her husband, her parents and all other family and friends. Lord I know there is sadness and confusion in their hearts and minds. Bring peace and comfort to them I pray. All of this I ask in Jesus precious name, and I thank you now for what you are doing and will do for Melissa. Amen. Please know that many are calling Melissa's name before the Father, the Great Physician. Jan
