 Well I just learned on Friday that I have to go on an 1100 calorie diet starting monday (02.09.09) for 12 days and then on a complete liquid diet for the 48hrs before surgery!  I went out and purchased protein drinks and sugar-free jello and cheese sticks and yogart and lean cusine meals to help me get thru the next 12 days!  Keep me in your prayers that I successfully make it thru the next two weeks!!!  I am really excited and nervous about having this surgery done but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnell!

OMG I am so excited today!!!  My Dr's office called me today and reported that my insurance has approved my gastric bypass procedure and I am scheduled for surgery 02/23/2009!!!  Thank you JESUS!!!  Now I have to get lab work completed and Chest EKG done!  The wait is finally over for me and I am so thankful I made myself a priority this time around!  Keep me in your prayers! 

WOO~WHOO lost 4lbs today yay me!  Going back to visit Dr. Patching on 12/04/2008 so hopfully we will be able to schedule my RNY surgery for Jan 2009!!!  My new insurance IBC as of 01/09 only requires a BMI of 40 or higher and a phyc evaluation and I have both of those done so keep me in your prayers!  I am so ready to get this surgery done  . . .

Ok I got a call from my Dr's office today and even though the dr has aggreed to do my surgery my insurance will not approve it because I don't have 6 months of Primary Physician visits but I haven't had my insurance that long!!!  To make things even more complicated my secondary insurance Medi-Cal is not accepted by my dr and as of 01/01/2009 my insurance provider is changing all together to Independence Blue Cross (IBC) so I have to call that provider and see what qualifications are needed to get approval for my surgery!  I AM SO DAMN FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO BUT GIVE . . .

Well I went to see Dr. Patching today and I have lost 10lbs!!!  Dr. Patching said I have shown him that I am the right track to having a successful surgery and said we can shoot for mid December 2008 to have my surgery done!!!  The only draw back is that I don't have 6 months of Primary care visits but I haven't had insurance for six months.  BUT . . . got a letter in the mail today that my medical insurance is still good till the end of December 2008 so hopefully I will be able to get approval thru Medi-Cal versus Aetna  Chois POS II.  Please send out a prayer for me because I really want to get approved and have this surgery done!  I know I am a good canidate for this I am a non-smoker and a non-drinker and I am done having children and I want to be around to watch my future grandchildren grow up!!!
