Hi Kimberly, Best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. My recovery was real fast. After 10 days, I didn't even need Tylenol. It was a breeze. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Lee

Kim, I am just over 2 wks post op. I had very little pain right after surgery. I walked 6 times the 2nd day. I hope your as blessed with an easy recovery. Reading the messageboard is soooo helpfull. Good luck. Jody-

Dearest Kimberly, I am close to 8 months post op, have lost nearly 80 pounds, equal to 16 5 lb bags of sugar. I am presently doing wonderfully physically and emotionally, walking up to 12 miles a week, even jogging a little bit and enjoying life so much more than before my surgery. I had open RNY surgery on July 19th, 2005 and had a wonderful surgeon. I hope that you are comforted in knowing that this can be a wonderful tool and gift that will change your life forever and make all of your dreams come true. I wish you nothing but peace throughout your journey, angels over you to guard every move the surgeon makes, and to keep you comforted all the days of your new life. Congratulations and my prayers and thoughts are with you.

Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Feel free to look at my profile and see my ups and downs and know I’d not change a thing with anything I’ve experienced. Kim, Just hang in there and enjoy the ride. Each day gets a little better and easier. Before long, you will be looking back and having a hard time believing it went so fast. It is well worth the work. Not a day goes by that I regret having it done. I am 14 months out and down 98 lbs. I feel like a teenager again. Good luck.
