I just spoke with Judy this afternoon. She has been released from the hospital, and is now staying at the Summerset Suites under "Judy Houson". She will be staying there until Wednesday when Dr Tanaka will examine her and then release her to come home. She is doing great, although she gave everyone quite a scare when she had an episode on Thursday. It started with exposure in the A.M. to a nurse soaked in nicotine, then ended with her participation in an exercise class for postoperative bariatric patients. Just to be sure she was ok, they moved her up to the 11th floor and hooked her up to all sorts of machines. By Friday she was deemed ok, and allowed to return to the 7th floor to enjoy the rest of her stay. Judy is already OFF her Diabetic meds, as well as reduced from 3 pills down to only 1/2 pill for her hypertension! WAY TO GO, JUDY!!! She has been released to drink her protein and lots of water, and had no problem after drinking her first two shot glasses while on the phone with me for a half hour. I am so excited for her, and I know that she really appreciated all the calls and visits everyone made to her. As she said...she is a big loser, and happy to be one! Take care, Judy, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
