Johnny has had several complications. Right now his condition is listed as serious. His heart stopped and he had to be rescusitated. His white count was up around 38,000 but is now down considerably. He is experiencing congestive heart failure. He also had considerable difficulty breathing but is doing better with that. Wes has been keeping a regular vigil with Johnny and his wife, Mary (you're the best Wes!). Johnny is one tough cookie and we all believe that he's going to pull through this. Please pray for Johnny and his sweet family. Miracles are what this surgery is all about!

Hello all, I visited with Johnny last night and he really was looking good. I could tell that he was feeling alot better too. He was able to start drinking water again and that was a great milestone for him as we know ice chips and water are our best friends after surgery when your parched. Keep him in your prayers and thoughts, he will be home in no time hopefully, and getting on with life post-op. Thank You God for the Answered prayers so far. PT is going to start working with him today to get him walking and stronger. I am going to see him at the hosptial in just a little while. Will Update more later. Wes

Johnny, I know you are having a rough time right now, but I wanted to wish you a speedy recovery. I also live in Alabama and just thought I would wish you a good thought. Take care and hopefully you will be on the way to a healthier life. Good luck to you!

Hi All, Johnny had go back to surgery this morning (1-11-02) so the doctors could determine what was causing his white blood count to be so high and he also had some swelling. I just returned from the hospital visting with Johnny's wife and friends while we waited for news from his surgery. The doctor said that he was doing good after surgery and that he would be going to ICU for recovery before going back to a regular room. He had some infection causing his blood count to go up and some swelling, I am not too sure on the details but his doctor seemed to think that he was doing good, thats an answered prayer for sure. Thanks for all your prayers and please continue to keep Johnny and His Family in your prayers. Wes
