Hey Jessica. I am over here thinking about you! I know you are going to do fine. I will be praying for a speedy recovery for you. If there is anything you need, just give me a call and I will be there for you! Can't wait to see you when you get back! Hugs to you! You are gonna be one hot mama! I cannot wait for you to feel the same happiness that I am feeling now that my self image is not pulling me down. It is something you will be feeling soon and you will understand, it cannot be put into words! This is the best thing you can be doing for yourself. Own this!

Hi Jessica :) Just wanting to wish you the very best as you journey over to the losing side on April 11th. I had my gastric byass with Dr. Hajducek through Coastal Center for Obesity 3 years ago and couldn't have chosen a betterr center to go through. They truly helped me to save my life. I started out weighing 370 lbs with a BMI of 61.1 and am now 145 lbs with a BMI of 23. (Womens 6/7X to a Misses 2/4) What's more important than the numbers, I went from barely being able to walk to my mailbox to being a Certified Physical Trainer at the Bally's near where I live. Live still has its ups and downs. but I can live and feel good about myself now! Wishing you all the best as you go through your own journey and if ever I can be of support, please don't hesitate to email me. Hugs, Caroline Ann Martin -225 lbs @ goal, http://abutterflyemerges.com

Hi Jessica, Thank you for your post. I'm having my surgery in NH on 4/11 at 8:15a.m. I'm trying not to be nervous, I'm trying to think of the surgery as an adventure! It sounds like you've had a long journey. I started my WLS journey in 10/05. Things have moved along very quickly. I'm very thankful for that. I hope that you get to realize your dream of becoming an RN someday. I became an RN 5/93. I didn't start college until I was 35 years old. Luckily I have a very supportive husband. I worked full-time a medical assistant 1 hour from my home. I would attend classes 2 nights a week & clinicals 2 nights a week. And of course mountains of homework on the weekends. It was tough on my kids who were in elementary school when I started. But with love and luck and good time management skills, you will be able to realize your dreams. And it sure sounds like you have a supportive husband! Best of luck to you on 4/11. It's a good luck day here in New England, as it's the home opener for the Boston Red Sox. Go Sox!! Again, best of luck to you on this new chapter in your life. Lise
