Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who have written to send encouragement and support and prayers as my surgery date approaches this coming Tuesday. It has been a rough week, very hectic in terms of getting testing completed and starting CPAP use, and I seem to be shifting between excitement that it is about to happen and anxiety that it is about to happen. Someone confirmed to me that this is normal for this stage of the process, so I'm just trying to follow the rules and ride it out in as zen-like a fashion as I can muster. I am not feeling just the best at the moment due to having to stop celebrex and prevacid, there being no really good and allowable substitutes for these. Therefore, it seems my time is up in terms of availing myself of any last-minute treats before surgery - everything good causes heartburn. :( Oh well, just as well, and I might as well get used to having much more limited choices, what the heck. Thanks again, everyone, you really lift me up. :) Anita

I am checking in to say - FELIZIDADES / CONGRATULATIONS - for deciding to take this life-changing step to becoming a more healthier you! I hope everything goes as planned and that you have a speedy recovery. Some words of advice: Please remember to keep positive thoughts at all times. When in doubt – ASK! Keep records of everything, including photos (makes a great scrapbook that you can look back on when you reach goal) and please keep your journal updated because you never know whom you might be helping. You will be in my thoughts. ~ Kelly
