Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! The next year is going to be the most amazing of your life. I know that you must feel as anxious and nervous as I did ten months ago. But soon this waiting game will only be a memory and you will be on to your new life. I am 10 months post op and I have lost 130 pounds. I went from a size 24 to a 4 in a little over 6 months. Miracles do and will happen for you. I have tried to keep a profile that can be used as a resource for pre-ops. That answers all of the questions that I had when I was in your shoes. Just wanted to let you guys know that I need your prayers. During my pre-op tests,my EKG showed an abnormality,Ischemia,which is a compromise in which their was reduced blood flow to the heart. OMG!! They really scared me.They sent me to see a Cardiologist right then.He did an ECG & a stress test.He said they came out fine and he did give me cardiac clearance for the surgery.He thinks the Ischemia is caused from the Redux/Phen-fen/Pondimin that I took.Ischemia can lead to a blockage.Let's hope not.Today,I found out that my chest x-ray also showed abnormalities!!! They said it showed prominence of the right hilum.I had never heard of that.The hilum is in the chest area.That is really all I know.I go on Monday the 17th for the CT.Pray for me .I don't want to have to reschedule or cancel the surgery.I think I had my first real,full blown panic attack today.
