I'm almost 5 months out and straight water is still tough for me most days.  I've read in many posts here that I'm not alone.  Flavored water like Crystal Light goes down MUCH easier.

So, I asked my surgeon last week why this is.  All he said i

I know I've seen a lot of posts about people still feeling sick after one, two or even three months out.  Maybe this post will help others.

Well, that's been my story all alon

I'm getting to a point in my weight loss where I'm starting to see the old skinny me start to emerge.  It's very exciting.  But I'm also noticing some distorted thinking going on in my head as well.  No doubt this is norm

Grasping at straws, and hoping against hope.  I'm over 4 months out and no hair loss yet.  Please tell me if you had no hair loss at all, or very, very little... and was it thick or thin to begin with?

Mine is so fine and thin already, can't

I'm 4 months post-op, and for the past 3 months I've been having a real problem with my left ear.  My symptoms are that intermittently my ear feels oddly clogged, like it's underwater and I can hear my own voice and breat

One of the most recent articles I've seen posted here said Telegen Effluvian (hair loss after surgery) usually occurs between 100-120 days after your operation.  In class we learned it generally occurs at or about 3 month

This is just info for anyone that has to have a colonoscopy POST-RNY.  Instead of having to drink that gallon of Prescription 'nitro-explosive' liquid the night before the procedure (because of course there's no way any o

I'm still struggling with this, even though we covered it in class several times.  Part of me wants to blurt out about my whole journey, including the surgery - but most of the time I just want to give a short answer, whi

This is one dream I've been excited for since day 1.  Before surgery, I couldn't even cross my legs 'man-style', let alone get them close enough to drape one over the other.

Even though I'm doing everything exactly by the book... I still have whole days filled with nausea, followed by vomiting.  There's seemingly no rhyme or reason that I can detect as yet.  It often happens when I try new fo

First of all, thank you so much for the daily menu posts - I have learned so many great food ideas... and all of them tried and true by you wonderful peeps!

Here's my question

Corrie33 posted a discussion topic 9 years, 7 months ago

Anyone else feel this way?  I'm 3 months out, and I'm totally getting the hang of it.  But the hardest part by far is not having anything to drink with my meals.  I get so thirsty, and it doesn't feel natural to not put your food down and then pick up

I'm getting more and more excited to finally reach my goal, and now I'm half-way.  I'm adding new, healthy, high protein, low cal foods to my diet (thanks to the daily menu posts, you guys have all the best ideas!), and it's getting easier and easier.
