Well, 6 days till blast-off! I am so excited! Went to my nutrition class a few days ago, here in Cincinnati. Was definately grossed-out with the protein. Sorry, guess I'll have to shop around. I am eating all my favorite things for the next few days...Golden Coral's buffet....a friend's cookout, another night at LoneStar....boy, I will probably go into shock the day after surgery.........looking forward to every minute of it!! I am excited about looking for work again, I am not a stay-at-home person!! I prayed to God and asked him is this is not for me to stop me in my tracks now!! I'm still going.............and going...........and going..........God Bless all of you!!

Hello Barb - Welcome to AMOS, I could "feel" your excitement when I read your post to the message board and I wanted you to know there are many of us that are so very happy for you! We truly know and understand the rollercoaster of emotions you are experiencing right now. Been there, bought the ticket and loved the ride!! : ) Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! My humble advice? Walk as much as possible after surgery. As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging back the protein drinks in baby [pouch] gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, YOU are worth it. Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water. It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily. One final thing, CELEBRATE all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on numbers, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey - don't let any of them slip by. Enjoy your new healthier life, you've more then earned it!! NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!! ....Hugs and smiles : )

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**
