What an incredible young lady Amber was! I ws so inspired by her story and stuggle for I too am traveling down the same path after loosing more than 200 pounds. God has a plan for all of us so I guess mine is to die somewhat smaller. I am terminaly ill with rectal cancer and and just about out of options but I believe there is alwys some kind of hope. But my weight loss journey was worth it. I can not imagine weighing more than 350 lbs and havng to deal wth this horrible illness with the chemo & radiation. Amber was a great little soldier and I hope I can be 1/2 as brave as she was. Karen King Athens, GA

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
