Dale, Just wanted to drop a line in support of you on your surgery. I, too, am scheduled for surgery on 12/18 and am interested in communicating particularly with men going through this process. I have contacted about 5 guys that either just went through the surgery or, like you, are going under the knife this next week. I really want to get the male perspective and would like to find a way to create a network for us guys. Anyway, I will be thinking about you on Wednesday and will say a prayer for you. If you have any insights you would be willing to share, just reply. I will be putting together a mailing list of "Guys Under Transition", or "GUT", and would like to include you on the list. Let me know and know that there are others out here thinking of you and wishing you well. Roger

Dear Dale, Good luck with your surgery. Dr. Newhoff is a good doctor and knows his stuff! I had surgery 3 months ago and have lost 52 pounds. I feel great and hope you do as well as I did. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
