Hey Bill, I am excited for you. I am glad that your daughter is doing so good. I think it is neat that you two are in this together. My dad has been by my side since I first started my journey. My surgery isn't scheduled until May 7th. Now that seems far away. Daddy isn't obese. He has been so concerned about my weight getting higher and higher. Now that I have made the decision to have it done he has been right there with me. He has been so worried. I will keep you in my prayers. Good luck, Cheryl

Bill, I am wishing you a safe, complication-free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my open RNY on 12/10/01 and can honestly say that I have NO regrets other than not having had WLS several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you start your healthy new life.

Congratulations Bill! Don't worry about having to go the open route. I went open and I only have a 3 1/2" scar to show for it. :) I hope your surgery goes smoothly and your recovery is quick. Best of Luck!

Bill - I'm two weeks post op from a Lap RNY. The worse part before surgery is the anxiety. God's speed to you for an uneventful recovery. Hugs.
