ANGEL REPORT!! ^j^ I spoke to Pam late this afternoon. She was still in pain, but sounded really good! She's anxious to get back on her feet and be able to take care of herself and her little girl. Her family's been a big help!! Looks like the worst is behind her.

ANGEL ALERT!!! ^j^ She got to come home yesterday. She's still in some pain, but she said it's a little more bearable. I finally got up the courage to ask her again if she had any regrets. She promptly said "no way". That made me really happy!!!

Hi Pam, So sorry to hear about all the problems. We all are reading about it and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Hope you are up and about soon! Pamela Nicholas

^j^ I called her just a bit ago and she told me that she had a bit of a scare last night. After doing the CT scan and taking about 5 hours to read it (and it ending up being "inconclusive"), they decided to re-open her. They were fearful that she had leaks. Well, after all that drama, they didn't find any. This morning, of course, they had to her doing the upper GI series. Again, they didn't find anything. Well, anyone who knows Pam knows that she was PIPING HOT by the time she got back to her room! She was mad that they'd done it backwards (according to her and to ME). She thought they should have done as many TESTS as possible and THEN cut her open....not the other way around!! She's got all the tubes back in her, including a new one coming from her belly. I'll call again tonight and check on her. Keep her in your prayers, please!! And send her messages of encouragement!

ANGEL ALERT!!! ^j^ I went to see Pam around noon on Saturday. She was in some pain, but was hitting the little "happy button" so she was planning on making it go away! Overall, she looked and sounded alright. I also talked to her again Sunday morning. She was feeling pain still and that apparently worried the doc. He was going to give her a CT scan to see if there were problems. I just called to see how that went and her roomate (I think that's who I talked to) said that she was downstairs having an upper GI series done. Hmm...I wonder. I'll call her back later this afternoon.

I talked to Pam this morning at 9:30-ish and she sounded good. She's in some pain from having her gall bladder out, but other than that, she's feeling pretty well like everyone else does after surgery. I asked her if she was regretting anything, and she said "ask me tomorrow". LOL And it doesn't help that the nurse who weighed her was kinda "slow" and weighed her wrong. This of course resulted in a 10 pound GAIN! We're going to go see her soon and spend a little time with her. I will post again upon our return!!

ANGEL REPORT!! ^j^ Pam came out of surgery just fine and is in recovery. Her mom and sister haven't seen her yet, but of course that's because she's still got the tube in her nose and all. She did just fine and should be in her room shortly. I'll let you know!!!

ANGEL REPORTING!! ^j^ Ok, so Dave was clueless! She was not in recovery, she was being preped for surgery!!! They were obviously running behind. And when I called back at 9:30-ish, I spoke with a member of her family (I assumed it was her mom). She said that she went into surgery a little nervous, but that she was fine and she'd be out some time around noon. If I'm not mistaken, they're taking her gall bladder too, so that is going to make it take a little longer. I told her that I'd call back around that time and throughout the day to see if there was an update. Her mom sounded good, just a little confused about who I was and why I was calling. Or maybe she was "shocked" that someone would call. Who knows? Dearest Pam, my thoughts are with you!
