Hi Robin, Hang in there and your day will come! I was denied once but approved after switching to a more supportive PCP. It'll happen when the time is right for you. Be patient!

Hi Robin, I have been trying to have WLS for a year and a half and have had 3 surgery dates along the way that needed to be cancelled along the way for various reasons...the last was when my insurance company enrolled me into an HMO without my permission 4 days til surgery...and of course, my surgeon's office DID NOT take the HMO!!! That was a year ago...I had to find a surgeon that takes my type of insurance, and then I had to start ALL over again with my pre-ops because they weren't valid anymore...BUT I did it...I kept my eyes on the prize! And now I am 17 days to my surgery. While I am hoping in the back of my mind that nothing keeps me from having surgery this time, I am confident that I have a much better surgeon now than I did before who has better credentials and a much better success rate...All things happen for a reason, sweetie...When the time is right, it WILL happen for you, too! I will keep you in my prayers...Just remember that you have an AWESOME support group here at OH...We all love you as one of our own...a sister in the fight against obesity! And you WILL WIN!!! Hi Robin, I'm home from South America and still catching up. Sorry to read about your recent setback for a surgeyr date. Hang in there. It's worth fighting for.
