Insurance submitted on Wednesday and approved today! Surgery in three weeks!! AHHHH
Oh my gosh. I did not expect things to move so quickly. Paperwork was submitted to my insurance company on 10/8 and approved this morning 10/10. My surgery is scheduled for October 31. Even though I have been on this road for months I suddenly feel very unprepaired. Can any of you help me with the essentials I should be doing now? I have purchased protein powders already. Suggestions on gummy viatmins? What else am I not thinking of. I am sorry to ramble but I was thinking insurance approval may take weeks and was hoping for surgery in early December. Thanks freinds. Lots of emotions. Excited, scared, anzious, overwhelmed but so happy to take this step and become healthier. Thanks you all for suggestions and support. Hugs!!
Congratulations Marie. I heard that the gummies don't have enough vitamins and minerals in them. I bought a couple of containers of broth, sugar free jello and crystal lite for my preop diet and to drink the week after surgery.

I didn't buy a thing. At my one week post op nut class they went over everything we should be taking and what to look for. I ended up with Bariatric Advantage chewable multi and same brand peanutbutter choc chewable for calcium with citrate. Vitamin b12 and d i got at sprouts in liquid form. I didn't start on vutes until day 6. No rush.
be grateful you don't have to wait. get kids chewable vitamins from costco or elsewhere instead of gummies. chewable calcium citrate too. eat a last nice dinner if you want and then put those days behind you. you are gonna love the results. my surgery got moved up due to a cancelation so i had two weeks. it worked out great and all the work for it made me want it more. gl diane
