Topic: They set my date for RNY

Hi OH people,

I am so excited that I have a date for my RNY, October 6th.  That's if I get clearance from the Cardiologist and PCP.  I have been waiting so long and by the time I have surgery it will have been one year since I went to my WLS Information seminar.  I am totally ready to go.
Still have more appts and the liquid protein shakes for the 2 weeks prior to surgery.  I know the next 5 1/2 weeks are going to fly by.

Surgery is set for Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI.  Bronson Healthcare Midwest Bariatric Surgery

Hi,  sorry I haven't heard about this so I can't help you.  Have you talked to a Dr. or support group leader.  Try the the WLS forum you might get more people that know about this, best of luck.  Top of the page under Forums (blue strip)

Hi dreamy_09

It is nice that you responded I was sure Dr Weaver had other patients but posting here I have only found one, you.  I see the Doc tomorrow and I am hoping we set up a surgery date.  I did the requirements up to the dietition pre/post op, Cardiologist, etc. I think I should be ok.  Dr Weaver seemed very knowledgeable at my first appt.  and tomorrow I have  list of questions for him like what is your leak rate?,mortality rate, success rate (you get the picture).  I was hoping for more information about him.

Do you know anyone that has had surgery from Dr Weaver?  I don't.

I have gone to some of the support groups at
Bronson.  They are ok.

I will drop a line tomorrow  after my appt.

Dr. Weaver is also my surgeon, and I am working on requirements. I have completed 2 months of the supervised weight management forms with my PCP.

I can hardly wait I see my surgeon on the 14th and I believe we will be able to set  up my surgery date.

Enjoy the Loser's Bench :)
