Hi, thought I'd jump in here. 1) Lap RNY on 4/22/03...2) 52 & 5' 0"....3) beginning weight 249...4) current weight 202...5) no exercise plan that is consistant(I know, I know) not enough room for all my excuses...6) personal weight goal...125-130 or where I feel great. I have to say that I am off all meds now, sleep 200% better, husband of 36 years says I no longer snore. YEA! I still struggle with keeping my food down, some days are better than others. I have trouble seeing the weight loss when I look in the mirror but the clothes are alot different, I did measure in the beginning and have now lost 50 inches! I know soon I'll see the difference. Hugs; Barbara

(1) Open RNY April 15, 2003 (2) 43, 5'3" (3) 319 (4) 248 (5) I swim twice a day for at least 1 1/2 each session and work all body parts...Yard work daily...Exercise bike, treadmill, and row machine on rainy days....Walk 2 miles at the track nightly (6) I haven't given myself a goal weight. I want health and energy levels more than I want body image. Image is very important to mental health and esteem issues we all deal with when we are weight challenged. I really haven't discussed what would be my ideal weight. Any ideas for my body type of being porportioned pretty equally all over???

Wow...I can't believe that July is almost over....Here's my stats, I had my LAP Rny on 4-22-03. I am 31 years old standing a whole 5"4'. My starting weight was 337, my pre-op weight was 317.5. And now I am 277--YIPPE KIYAH!!!!!. I am not exercising as much as I know I should:{ However, I do try to walk 30-45 minutes daily and go swim a few laps at the community pool once a week. I would love to wear any size that I can find at Old Navy, even if it is the largest one. I am currently putting all my clothes (26/28 & 30/32) out on consignment at this new consignment shop that is opening this week. Yeah, except now I hardly have anything to wear and too broke to buy more things. That is the only drawback. Otherwise my biggest struggle is getting in all of my protein. But I am working diligently on that. I haven't been this size since I was 6 months pregnant. So I am tremendously glad about my choice on having wls. Good Luck to all who've crossed over. PAFennell

Way To Go Dixie,
I had Open RNY on April 23rd, to date I have lost 60 lbs as of today. I, too haven't experienced any complications. I have a lot more energy than before. I know I am at the beginning of my journey, but so far the only regret I have is not having this procedure years ago while my children were still young. I have three young adults, 21, 18 & 16. None the less I am starting to enjoy my life. Good luck to you on your journey
