Shiva Gupta Bariatric Physician MD

Dr. Gupta has about 20 years of extensive experience in primary care and hospital medicine providing comprehensive care to her patients with special emphasis on diabetes management and cardiovascular risk reduction. In addition, she served as the director of quality for hospital medicine as well as the physician adviser for utilization management and clinical documentation improvement at Beverly Hospital and the director of quality at Lowell General Hospital. She is board certified in obesity medicine, which is a novel branch of internal medicine providing an evidence-based approach to the understanding and treatment of the chronic disease of obesity.   Dr. Gupta is very pleased to join Dr. Laura Doyon and Dr. David Lautz to provide a medically-proven option of weight management for patients seeking non-operative treatment for this chronic epidemic.
