Thanks for all the good wishes. I never dreamed 20 years after my June 86 WLS I would still be around. It has not been without problems but would do it again in a NY minute but would have picked a different type of wls instead of the one that I had but in those days there was not much information around about wls and not as many different types. Can't turn back the clock now and even the surgeons doing my type of surgery did not know about what kind of long term problems they would run into with their patients 20 years later. Biggest problem has been anemia which I ended up taking Procrit shots for. Just this month though I found that if I drink a couple of protein shakes a day each has 22 grams of protein in it and I have 2, it seems to bring my blood work up in normal range which is the first time in 3 years and I hope it is not a fluke and continues.
