Question:
has anyone out there had wls that has ulcerative colitis?

Please, if anyone has ever been diagnosed with UC let me know if I would be a canidate for wls> I am seriously considering wls at this time and would like to know before I go too far into the whole process    — jamie C. (posted on March 19, 2003)

I had suffered for years with UC and had concerns about having the surgery. Guess what? No more colitis at all! No more pain, bleeding or diarrhea. Yeah!

My symptoms got better for 3 years after surgery. Then all the sudden its back and I'm more anemic than ever from the bypass which is bad when you have a disease that going to make it even worse. I'm hoping I don't have to have a transfusion. It has been mentioned before.
