Question:
I had hit a period where I was not hungry and would not eat

someone suggested exercising more so I started a cycling routine and I am currently riding about 7 miles each morning in about 45 minutes. Now the problems, since I started this (about a month ago) I am extremely hungry mid-day, I still can't eat much and once I get it in I am satisfied with 3 oz. of protein (cheese, beans, tuna) or a medium banana, BUT I am also extremely bitchy right before my period and the PMS cravings are INCREDIBLE!!! I have been able to limit myself to fat free foods like graham and/or animal crackers but the urge to eat 3 or 4 comes on every 2 to 3 hours. I have not gained weight, in fact in the last 4 weeks I have lost 20. Can someone give suggestions on how to curb the cravings, is there anything I can take to ease the emotional ups and downs and when will I been able to tolerate chicken and/or turkey? I'm 3.5 months out and getting a little tired of tuna and fish.    — Wanda M. (posted on November 18, 1999)
