Question:
Can I medial thigh lift and abdominoplasty be done during one procedure?

I have just received insurance approval from Personal choice for TT...I was surprised took only 1 1/2 weeks. I would like to have TT and medial thigh lift (I will pay for this $5200) done at once to save from two different recovery times. Any opinions on making this one surgery instead of two? I am also going back in forth in my mind as to should I do this or not. My hubby thinks I should not, he said I look beautiful...so I dont know what to do. I know I am doing this for me and not anyone else. One more question: Dr has mentioned using Stryker Pain Mgmt pump..does anyone have feedback for me on it. I would also like to hear from Philadelphia and surrounding area people who have had double procedure surgery and who they used. I am think of using Dr. Scott Chapin in Doylestown. Thanks so much for your help!    — bsktofdreams (posted on February 27, 2003)

I did both procedures in one operation. I was pretty sore for a week or so but alright after that. I also had a small hernia repair. It took about 7 hours, and the worst thing was that I felt "off" mentally for about 2 weeks. I had surgery on a Monday and went to a summer class the following Monday. The thighs hurt worse than the TT. The have a stinging sensation like a paper cut times 100! One thing my hubby did for me was install a padded potty seat because it hurt so much to sit and potty. It really helped a lot. I love the results. I can wear shorts now and my tummy is very flat. Would do it again in a heart beat. P.S. my insurance paid for all of it.

I was offered a thigh lift with my tummy tuck. So its definitely done. I choose to have some lipo done with my tummy tuck instead. Right choice for me. I'd say go for it! My pain control was in shots so can't speak to your pump question. Good luck!!
