Question:
Cigna - Was your sugery hard to get approved through Cigna HMO?

I have Cigna HMO and had a terrible time with my abdominoplasty (had HealthNet with my WLS). Went through three appeals and so many battles with them. In the end, after appearing at the final hearing via telephone, they agreed to pay for the abdominoplasty. -Kate-

It only took one week for me to be approved with Cigna HMO. The doc's office took care of the enitre thing and it turns out they didn't even have my records in hand when they submitted, through some mix up they had my daughters records (she is 2, a bit young for surgery). So, i am not sure what criteria they used but they certainly had no trouble approving.

It only took the nurse one day to approve my surgery after she received the paperwork. I love Cigna
