Question:
1000 mg of Soy Protein is equal to how many grams?

I purchased a bottle of Soy Water at the health food store. 24 oz. contains 1000 mg. of soy protein. What does this translate into grams? I'm assuming it is 100 grams, but is soy protein acceptable? Michelle Curran, are you out there? :)    — Allie B. (posted on October 15, 2000)

1000 mg only equals one gram. Sounds like they are trying to inflate the importance of the protein in their product. I'm afraid this product won't do you much more good than just drinking plain water.

I'm here, but Lynn covered it pretty well there. Soy IS an acceptable form of supplement, but many don't like soy for its gritty texture & gassy effect on the bowel. It was one of my two choices when I had surgery 6 yrs ago. Grit or slime. Oh boy. You can add that 1g with that water, but nah, it probably isn't worth paying real money or inconveniencing yourself about. How's it taste?
