Question:
Anyone have excess skin and major dimpling around the knee and below?

I have gone to many cosmetic surgeons for excess skin that dimples around my lower thighs, knees (which are thick) and below in the front. I actually dimple from the ankles up. I lost my weight 30 years ago and had inner thigh lifts (which have since returned to sagging) but the redundancy of leg skin that is not touched by the body lift or inner thigh lift is deforming. Ultimately ugly is ugly and impacts the quality of life no matter what kind of ugly it is. I can look good in public (thank God!) but I can't and haven't found acceptance and love once revealed so I am as alone as I feared I would be when I was an obese child. I've read about radical procedures that leave scars along the inner thigh; I would be interested if anyone has had this or another procedure for the lower legs. Who said that thin is enough?    — molly K. (posted on July 15, 2005)

Hi. It is a challenge to get the loose skin taht wrinkles around and above the knees tightened but it can usually be improved. The vertical cut is often NOT needed. Send your photos to my email and I'd be happy to give you my opinion. [email protected]
