I have PCOS too. I know that in the past my pco symptoms have almost went completly away with significant weight loss. I am 5'8" and 280 I am 28 years old. I can't have a period without bc pills and miscarried a baby in the first trimester about two years ago. Since then my weight has went up and my symptoms have worsened and I haven' t been able to conceive again.I know that this surgery will put me back on track and I am sure it will for you too.

Click my name, you can read my whole story regarding PCOS. My Endocrinolist suggested it for me specifically for PCOS. Also, have you been to : http://www.pcosupport.org/ or maybe the Yahoo! Club "Pcossupport" ? Good Luck!

I, too, have PCOS and Type 2 diabetes. It is only natural that after WLS these symptoms will improve because of the change in your diet, caloric intake, and increase in activity level as you reduce your weight. If you would like to discuss this more, feel free to look up my profile and email me. Good luck to you!!!

I agree with Tonia. I am 22 years old and have a BMI of 51. I have PCOS and I cann't have a period without birth control pills. I, too, have had a misacrriage (about 2 years ago) and have not been able to concieve since. I am just praying that WLS will give me back that part of my life so that I may start a family. I hope things look on the bright side for you, too!
