Question:
Sorry to be a little gross but

i am almost 7 weeks out and have had dark GREEN poop since the 2nd week- my dietician seemed bemused and unconcerned but it is making me crazy- it smells like horse manure!!!!! anybody with the same problem? help!    — Jannie N. (posted on July 18, 2003)

Mine is to and I am 7 weeks out. It is from my Faracon that my doc put me on for iron and b-12.

Mine too and I am 17 weeks out! It is a lot worse the day after I drink 4 or 5 glasses of sugar free grape kool aid. Glad to know I am not the only green pooper.

Want to trade colors? LOL Mine is an awful shade of orange. Alot like a breast fead baby. Hey, I was on liquids for 3 weeks but breast milk was definately NOT on my list!

Your body is just getting rid of it's junk. Don't worry about it. Your *poop* will change over the year. Be more concerned if you aren't *pooping.* These things we worry about at first are funny after a couple of years.

I'll bet your having a lot of sugar-substitute items (jello, popcicles, and such) and I've found when I have those my poop gets very greenish and smells atrocious! Even a protien bar will do it to me. and I'm almost a year out. Yuck!

I'm 9 weeks out (down 43#) I asked my Dr about the green poop I was having. He said it's from the iron pills. :-). Good luck to you.

Mine is khaki and has been for the last 5 months since surgery. I do not take iron other than the multi vitamins that have the extra iron in them. My bloodwork is perfect. Mine isn't like manure, but i describe it as broccoli and burnt rubber. As the others have said though, be glad you are pooping. It's miserable when you don't.
