Question:
Any substitute for the Proteinex for the DS patient
I have been taking the Proteinex for two months and it is the worse thing I have ever taken. I have a great problem with its taste and will even skip a dose when I know that I should not. After I swallow the Proteinex I will place a slice of lemon in my mouth. Hope someone can help me because I truly dread taking a dose. — Shirley F. (posted on June 21, 2003)

I take it you don't like any of the protein drinks or bars out there???
Have you put the Proteinex in something to help with the taste??? JR

I take my Proteinex in 6 oz of Koolaid (tropical punch or orange) sweetened
with Splenda. It helps mask the taste. I cannot take it straight. YUK!

I use EAS Myoplex Lite, premixed. It has 25 g of protein and 4 g of carbs.
It comes in Dark Fudge, French Vanilla, Strawberry Creme and Cappachino.
I get it at Meijer or my local health food store. It is the only stuff I
like. Which is unfortunate because I have a whole case of the dry stuff to
mix with water and it never tastes as good.

Go to www.Vitalady.com and order some samples of really GOOD protein
shakes. Toss the Proteinex.
