I ran into this a few weeks ago. I took it a step further and my doctor performed ultrasounds on my legs to make sure my blood was flowing corretly and I had no blood clots. Luckily I am fine. A lot of times this can be do to a lack of potassium and fluids in your system. Also, a lack of exercise. Here are some suggestions that I have for you. Bananas! Great source of potassium. Orange Juice! Drink your fluids as often as possible. Exercise! Keep it up! The more frequently you exercise the better you will feel and your blood flow will be better as well as muscles will get a work out. 4 mths post op 77 pounds gone! 230

I have a recurring problem almost identical to what you describe and each and every time it's low potassium. Go get your bloodwork done.

Muscle spasms can also be caused by low calcium, which won't show up in a blood test.
